  • I’m gonna be talking about this sign because I think its placed in a bad spot. You can’t see it, but it’s half way up the line, meaning you could of waited hours to get there and had to turn around because of it.

You may have noticed that I’ve made three Thought Thursdays on signs. I’ll try to make posts that aren’t centered around a sign in the future though.

  • So I never explained what they measure. so today I’m going to do that. Starting… now!

So Decisecond 1/10 second its the tenths on a stopwatch.

Millisecond1/1,000 second it is the speed of human reaction times.

Microsecond 1/1,000,000 second balloon pops are this fast.

Nanosecond 1/1,000,000,000 second it takes this long for light to travel about one foot

Picosecond 1/1,000,000,000,000 second computer processor operations take this long.

Femtosecond 1/1,000,000,000,000,000 second Chemical reactions are this fast

Attosecond 1/1,000,000,000,000,000,000 second Electron dynamics inside atoms and quantum mechanics are this fast.

Zeptosecond Subatomic events, such as the time it takes a photon to cross a hydrogen molecule are this fast.

Yoctosecond Radioactive decay of tiny subatomic particles like quarksare this fast.

Planck Time The absolute theoretical limit of the smallest possible measurement in physics

  • This is a guide on how to experience every thing Cape Town has to offer in one day. The first step is to rent out a car, buy the fast track cable car tickets, and go up and down the mountain. Then drive to Cape Point take a few pictures then head to the wine regions and buy a bottle of wine. Then go to Robben Island. Then go on a plane and head back home.

  • Hi, i’m pizzadogs, please enjoy the #1 thought Thursday:

It says no parking for one minute but can I park for 59 seconds? But I still wonder, can I park for 59 seconds 999 milliseconds? Can I park for 59 seconds 999,999 microseconds? Can I park for 59 seconds 999,999,999 nanoseconds? After asking myself these puzzling questions I set out on a quest to find the smallest unit of time. After some digging I found something called a Planck time. Planck time measures the amount of time it would take for light to travel a Planck length. For reference, a Planck length is about ten trillion times smaller than an atom. Planck time is supposed to be the smallest measurement of time, its supposed to be, so I’ll make something smaller. I’ll call it splinter time, it will be the one thing smaller than Planck time, it will be one tenth of a Planck length. Meaning it will be 53.9 Septendecillionths. Which means that the longest you can park in that parking spot is 59 seconds o.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 splinter times
